H1N1, pregnancy guide

The Ministry of Health issued a draft guideline for H1N1 flu prevention and treatment of pregnant women yesterday.

Pregnant women suffering chronic diseases or obesity are at particularly high risk of the pandemic flu and are more likely to develop life-threatening symptoms, said the guideline. It also recommended family members of pregnant women take the H1N1 vaccination to avoid spreading the virus.
