Fatality appeal fails

The appeal by family members of the five victims of a drunken driving fatality in Nanjing last June was rejected by the Nanjing procurator.

Last week, the Nanjing Intermediate People's Court sentenced 44-year-old real estate company boss Zhang Mingbao to life in prison on a charge of endangering public safety, but family members of the victims sought the death penalty.
