Train hits illegal taxis

Illegal tricycle taxi owners broke through the fencing of the Beijing-Tianjin railway on Monday night and were hit by a passing train. Four people died and five others were injured, local media reported yesterday.

The illegal drivers from Jinghai county of Tianjin were said to have made the move to show dissatisfaction at a local crackdown aimed at stopping illegal transportion from causing more traffic accidents, the website quoted police and railway sources as saying.
