Court challenges vote
Japan's lower house election on Aug. 30 was ruled unconstitutional by the Osaka High Court on Monday, due to the disparity of votes reaching a maximum of 2.30.
"In the House of Representatives election, in which the disparity of vote value exceeded two, goes against the spirit of the constitution," said Presiding Judge Kitaru Narita.
