Five held for dumping
At least five people were detained for dumping large amounts of toxic chemical waste in Anhui province, causing water and soil pollution in two counties, investigators said yesterday.
A spokesman for the Bozhou Bureau of Environmental Protection said no deaths or illnesses were reported to have been caused by the pollution.
