To ensure food safety and public health, the authorities will set up a food safety risk assessment system nationwide, Health Minister Chen Zhu said yesterday. The system, which oversees and assesses food safety risks like contamination and unsafe use of additives, would help strengthen the supervision of food safety and quality in both urban and rural areas.
