By Qin Zhongwei | China Daily | Updated: 2009-12-24 07:50

The security manager of Silk Street Market has been detained by police only days after its former general manager was arrested in Inner Mongolia for selling fake goods.

Zu Shaozhong, security chief of Beijing's most famous shopping destination for expats and foreign tourists, was detained on Monday for unknown reasons.

"The case is currently at a stage that cannot be discussed publicly," Li Baohua, a press officer with Chaoyang police bureau, told METRO yesterday.
