A prime winter tour destination and a province enjoying booming trade with neighboring Russia, northeast China's Heilongjiang is now planning to further its economic growth by integrating its tourism and trade industries.
In the first three quarters, Heilongjiang's consumer retail business, a major part of the trade industry, contributed 54.7 percent of the province's gross domestic product. The tourism industry reported a total revenue of 45.33 billion yuan, growing 14.22 percent year on year.
By carrying out the Trade and Tourism Integration Project, Heilongjiang's trade and tourism are expected to offer stronger support to each other.
