National Express outlook

National Express said recent trade had stabilized and that annual profit would be in line with its view after a tough 2009 which saw it survive two takeover attempts and push through a rescue rights issue.

The British bus and rail operator said yesterday sales at its UK bus unit grew 4 percent in the fourth quarter and that reduced demand at its East Anglia rail franchise was being offset by government support.
