Lawyer's case progresses
The local procuratorate in Chongqing municipality on Sunday instituted a public prosecution against Beijing lawyer Li Zhuang over charges that he gave false evidence and obstructed witnesses.
Li Zhuang, 48, of Beijing Kangda Law Firm, was arrested on Dec 13 by Chongqing police. He was allegedly turned over to police by his client Gong Gangmo, a suspected crime boss detained in June during an anti-gang sweep in Chongqing.
