On a high note

Canadian indie-rock band Immaculate Machine will conclude its China tour, which began early this month, at Beijing's Yugong Yishan tonight.

The band, which was formed in 2000 and named itself after the lyrics in Paul Simon's One-Trick Pony, comprises Brooke Gallupe and Jordan Minkoff on the guitar, Kathryn Calder on the keyboard, Aden Collinge on the drums and Caitilin Gallupe playing the bass.

Gallupe started the band with two high school friends, Calder and Luke Kozlowski. They released their music independently and booked long tours through barren stretches of Canada.
