ECFA economic issue: Chen

The mainland's top envoy to Taiwan said on Friday the proposed economic co-operation framework agreement (ECFA) across the Straits is a pure economic issue and will not touch upon sensitive political issues.

Chen Yunlin, president of the Beijing-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, made the remarks ahead of his visit to the island for talks with Chiang Pin-kung, chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation.
