Death term for ex-tycoon

Wu Ying, a former tycoon born in 1981, was sentenced to death on Friday by a court in Jinhua of East China's Zhejiang province for illegal fund collection.

The court said she had illegally collected funds totaling 770 million yuan ($113 million) between May 2005 and February 2007. The court heard she had spent more than 389 million yuan on luxury cars, watches, real estate, clothes and cosmetics.
