Shenzhen-based OCT Contemporary Art Terminal will present a dance Report on Giving Birth, to conclude its contemporary dance festival.

Performed by Beijing Living dance studio and choreographed by Wen Hui, it is based on in-depth interviews of women from various backgrounds on their birthing experiences. The dance not only shows delivery as a physiological process at the hospital, but also invites the audience to explore how such an experience affects people's lives.

The dance premiered in 1999 in the Small Theater of Beijing People's Art Theater. It toured six cities in the United States in 2003, and won the ZKB Award at the 2004 Zurich International Theater Festival.
