Tchaikovsky's classic opera Eugene Onegin produced by the Opera Center of the China Conservatory of Music and performed by singers from both the Opera Center and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, will run at Tianqiao Theater from Sunday to Tuesday.

The opera is directed by Nikolai Kuznetsov from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Chinese soprano Ke Luwa sings the leading female role, Tatyana, while tenor Feng Guodong performs the title role, Onegin. Renowned soprano Guo Shuzhen, who is also the director of the Opera Center, initiated the project and is artistic director of the production. The opera is the closing show of the on-going Central Conservatory Music Festival.
