Gluing bridge fissures is fooling the public

The construction firm which built the Hanzhongmen Bridge in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, must be the most creative of its peers. As recently reported, after receiving complaints about more than 30 fissures on granite railings of that bridge, it responded efficiently by doing some repair work overnight - filling them with glue.

It is common sense that whenever any problems arise with buildings in which public safety is involved, the first to bear in mind should be a complete examination, so that the possible loss would be reduced to the minimum.
