Political advisor fired

Sun Shuyi, chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has been expelled from his office and deprived of his title as a provincial political advisor.

The decision to sack Sun was made during the 9th session of the standing committee of the 10th CPPCC Shandong Provincial Committee yesterday.
