Fresh guidelines for banks

Chinese banks will have to disclose detailed information about their capital base on a quarterly basis from 2011, according to a new guideline issued by the China Banking Regulatory Commission yesterday. The new regulation, which will not come into effect until Jan 1, 2011, is part of China's efforts to implement the new Basel accord, the banking regulator said.
