Games crackdown

China's media authority will inquire into and clear the market of unchecked computer game imports, according to State broadcaster CCTV.

Liu Binjie, Director of General Administration of Press and Publication, said in an interview that his office will soon launch a crackdown on all illegally imported computer games and unapproved local games. The administration will target the dissemination of obscene and unhealthy games in the movement and punish those who infringe regulations, the report said.
