Men's prospects for medal dim

Lacking veteran leadership, the Chinese men's short track speed skating team is expected to struggle at the Vancouver Winter Games in February.

"There is no really talented skater in the men's team to emerge as a leader, so it will be difficult to even get a medal at the Winter Games," said team manager Yang Zhanwu.

"But short track speed skating is a sport full of accidents and anything can happen on the ice. The opportunity is there to clinch a medal."
