VeryCD.com, one of the country's biggest file-sharing websites, could not be accessed since yesterday afternoon, following Friday's shutdown of file-sharing site BTChina - a major source of overseas movies, television shows and games in the country.
The move was a part of a government campaign to address the problem of copyright infringement.
