Deaths not vaccine-related

The four deaths among H1N1 flu vaccine recipients reported in China are not associated with the vaccine, said Yan Jiangying, spokeswoman for the State Food and Drug Administration yesterday.

Last week, the Ministry of Health said preliminary autopsies showed the deaths had nothing to do with the vaccine. As of yesterday, China has vaccinated about 30 million people against the H1N1 flu on the mainland.
