Coal price rises

The Qinhuangdao coal price, a domestic benchmark, advanced 4.4 percent, the biggest gain in almost a year, on increased winter demand for fuel. The price of coal with an energy value of 5,500 kilocalories per kg climbed to between 710 yuan and 730 yuan a metric ton as of yesterday compared with a week earlier, data from the China Coal Transportation and Distribution Association showed.
