Sentences for kidnappings

Five people received from two to eight years in jail in Yuncheng, Shanxi province, for cheating and kidnapping local teenagers in Myanmar, China News Service reported yesterday.

Pei Xiangrong, former deputy police chief in a county of Yuncheng, and former director of the county's land resources Jia Tianshan also received 10 years in jail and eight years and six months in jail respectively for taking bribes and duty dereliction.
