NFL blitzes China market

Chinese National Football League (NFL) fans and rock enthusiasts found themselves seated next to each other in pubs last Thursday night.

What brought them together was NFL China Blitz, a 16-episode program on CCTV 5 featuring Taiwan rock band May Day and Ding Dang, a female pop singer from Zhejiang province.

The pop idols spent 10 days in the US filming the show, went to a stadium to watch the game and learn the basics of the sport.
