Drawing its main inspiration from one of Southeast Asia's most-loved creatures, the Merlion, Singapore's expo mascot will take the form of a fun-loving lion boy at next year's event.
Liu Lian Xiao Xing's (Durian Star) appearance as a five-year-old will also feature lime-colored hair in the form of durian fruit, a Singaporean favorite.
