Doctors said that the louse was a "thelazia callipaeda", which is mostly found in the eyes of dogs. Wang Bin, the patient, said he once kept five dogs at home, and the louse possibly entered his eye while playing with his pets. Both the husband and his wife worked at a power factory in the city. The man got a bonus of some 20,000 yuan ($2,900), which he refused to share with his wife.
