McIlroy gives Monty Ryder Cup nudge

MISSION HILLS, Shenzhen: Rory McIlroy gave European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie a nudge on Friday, saying it would be a dream to pair up with Omega Mission Hills World Cup teammate Graeme McDowell in next year's showdown.

The pair, representing Ireland, are three shots clear after two rounds at Mission Hills including a 58 in Thursday's opening fourballs and are already eyeing the Oct 2010 clash at Celtic Manor in Wales.

"Yeah, I mean, everyone knows I'd love to play with G Mac in the Ryder Cup. There would be nothing better," said McIlroy, who finished second on this year's European money list.
