The Learning Center and Sports Beijing will launch the first Beijing Book Race on Dec 7, with online registration beginning on Dec 1, 2009.
The race was started to help foreign and Chinese students in Beijing discover the joys of reading for pleasure.
Children may read in any language, as long as they are able to complete the online reading log in English after finishing each book.
