A British envoy suggested in Beijing that militaries from the UK and China should work together to address global warming, as it is already an international security challenge.
The military creates greenhouse gas emission, while it is also vulnerable to global warming, said Rear Admiral Neil Morisetti, the British Climate and Energy Envoy who was in China yesterday.
The UK considers global warming as "the greatest threat to global stability and security in the future," he said, noting the world may face more climate change caused unconventional threats like food shortage, extreme weather, unplanned migration, etc.
