3 popular drinks 'unsafe'

Three popular drinks produced by Nongfu Spring and Uni-President, two major beverage producers, have been found unsafe for consumption, quality inspectors in Hainan province announced.

Local media reported that a consumer alert issued by the Haikou industry and commerce bureau on Tuesday showed two drinks from Nongfu Spring - a mixed fruit and vegetable juice produced on Jun 27 and a water soluble C100 grapefruit juice produced on Aug 16, as well as a peach juice produced by Uni-President on Aug 22, contained too much of the poisonous chemical arsenic.
