Chengguan cuts rewards for posters

By Xu Fan | China Daily | Updated: 2009-11-25 07:57

Haidian urban administration officers, known as chengguan, have cut cash rewards offered for illegal posters by 80 percent.

Beijingers who bring illegal poster advertisements they have ripped from walls and telegraph poles will now receive a reward of 0.02 yuan, instead of 0.10 yuan.

The district launched the anti-poster campaign in May last year and offered rewards to people who tore down illegal posters and gave them to chengguan.
