Firefighter's effort to save drowning woman in vain
A firefighter almost drowned when he jumped into a river to rescue a suicidal woman in Xinchashan, Guangdong province, last week.
Seeing the woman struggling in the Hanxi River, Liu Jiandong, 23, jumped in to save her.
