Tucked inside an old villa with a history spanning more than a century, NAPA Wine Bar & Kitchen has just the right ingredients to put the minds of wine and non-wine aficionados to ease.

With an impressive underground wine cellar - that includes a secretly blocked tunnel leading to the heart of People's Square - patrons can rest assured that bottles stored here are in good hands, and properly stored between 12 and 17 degrees centigrade.

But keep in mind, storage at the ASC Wine Residence-owned cellar comes at the cost of a 25,000-yuan annual membership fee. Then again, this is no club for amateur drinkers: the bulk of the varieties kept here are valued at more than 10,000 yuan per bottle.
