Peking roast duck with a twist
Executive chef Jackie Fong of the Cantonese restaurant, Fat Duck, at Renaissance Capital Beijing, updates the age-old Beijing Roast Duck recipe after testing a couple of hundred formulas. The new version is crispier, richer in flavor and less greasy. Italian cooking class
Italian chef Paulo Ascani will hold an Italian cooking class from 3-6 pm on Sunday, Nov 29 at Trattoria La Gondola, Kempinski Hotel Lufthansa Center. Paulo will introduce Italian olive oil, truffle, Parmesan cheese, buffalo cheese, rosemary and basil, as well as show you how to make tender seabass and beef steak. There is also, of course, the matching of pasta and sauces, and tiramisu.

Hilton Shanghai adopts an age-old American tradition by celebrating Thanksgiving this year. Its buffet tables will be loaded with favorites like roast turkey stuffed with mushroom, chestnut and sage, as well as other seasonal gourmet delicacies, such as pumpkin pie, honey-baked ham and prime beef.
