Thief caught in Tian'anmen
A pickpocket at the flag-raising ceremony on Tian'anmen Square on Aug 20 was charged with theft at Dongcheng district court, the Beijing court website said yesterday.
The man surnamed Fu was accused of stealing 1,100 yuan from a visitor watching the flag-raising ceremony. He was spotted by others and arrested on the spot.
