Long voyage of discovery

Q: Who invented reinforced concrete?

A: Joseph Monier, a gardener from France patented the invention in 1867 and exhibited the product at the Paris Exhibition the same year.

The commercial gardener created the reinforced concrete through trial and error after being frustrated with all the low-grade pots he used, which would easily fall apart because they were made of mud and clay.
