Tourism promising

Regional tourism based on China-ASEAN free-trade zone should be an opportunity for the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region to reform its tourism identity and develop its tourism industry.

"The greatest potential for a tourism boom should emerge when travel increases around neighboring countries, which brings in mutual benefit for both parts," says Gregory A. Duffell, president and CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association, at the third annual UN World Tourism Organization /PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook held in Guilin, Guangxi yesterday.
