Manhunt on after family of six slain

A villager believed to have murdered six members of his family, including his parents, is on the run and possibly poses a danger to the public, police said.

Chen Wenfa, 21, had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and had been treated without success, police in the southwestern Chinese province of Yunnan said on Tuesday.

Six of Chen's relatives, including his parents and grandmother, were found dead in Duoyishu village of Luquan county on Monday, according to the press office of the public security bureau in Kunming, the provincial capital.
