Yuan may join SDR
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said yesterday that the Chinese yuan may "after a while" become part of the Fund's in-house unit of account, the special drawing rights (SDR).
The move is in the right direction, but would require the currency to be market-based, he said.
