Cops participated in torture

Four policemen in Luohe, Henan province, were put on probation yesterday for torturing a suspect to death in April.

The four policemen were found to have tortured a pyramid sales suspect surnamed Zhai during questioning after arresting him in Liaoning. Zhai showed symptoms of breathing difficulties afterwards. He later died in Liaoning Central Hospital.
