Black lung case probed

The Sichuan provincial trade union has intervened in the case of Wang Chengzhang, a 46-year-old miner in the province's Renshou county who plans to have open-chest surgery to prove he is suffering from black lung disease so he can get compensation from his employer.

It has asked trade unions in Neijiang where the mine is located and Meishan where Wang lives to investigate the case and seek compensation for him.
