Beijing Googut Auction is offering a preview of its Autumn Auction lots at its new offices.
The Chinese painting and calligraphy section has three Galloping Horse paintings by renowned artist Xu Beihong. One of them is based on Xu's visit to a water conservancy site in Shandong province 58 years ago, and is seen as a distinctive creation of Xu's later years. Works of other masters such as Qi Baishi, Li Keran and Pan Tianshou, are also on display.
The antique section includes more than 250 porcelains and jadewares, of which a filigree enamel aroma pot of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) is worthy of particular attention. The pot showcases the outstanding enameling artistry of the court of Emperor Qianlong.
