A modern drama adaptation of Gulliver's Travels by Irish writer Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) retains the satire by using current issues to explore the human condition.

Modern-day Gulliver

In this TNT Theater Britain production, the story is told as a play within play, set in the 18th century. An actor named Lemuel Gulliver is forced to play the leading role in Gulliver's Travels, and embarks on his journey around the world, which takes him to Lilliput, Brobdingnag, Laputa and Houyhnhnm.

Unfortunately, Gulliver is unable to adjust to normal society when he returns from his adventures.
