Liu grabs gold in third comeback race

GUANGZHOU: China's star hurdler Liu Xiang claimed his third Asian Championships title last night, clocking 13.50 seconds in the men's 110m hurdles final.

Despite the fact that he had to run in gentle rain on a wet track, Liu still led all the way from the start line and even slowed down while sprinting.

"I felt very good running under the rain," Liu said after the race. "Since I'm in very good form, I told myself not to run so fast and being able to win is OK."
