More prizes offered

Beijing will add almost 10,000 more prizes to encourage spending, the Beijing municipal bureau of commerce and China Union Pay Beijing branch said on Tuesday.

In order to stimulate consumption, the government and an inter-bank payment company launched a six-month promotion. Consumers, who spend more than 100 yuan in a single purchase with bank cards will be able to participate in lucky draws to win goods from laptops to home style products.
