Bored man lies about finding pistol, jailed

Police in Chongqing municipality detained a man for seven days after he reported a false case of finding a loaded pistol on the street last week.

Surnamed Yang, a resident of Shaping district, said he was craving some excitement in life, which is why he phoned the police and made up a story about picking up a loaded pistol from the road.
