Great Wall wrecker probed
A Chinese gold mining company is being investigated for seriously damaging one of the oldest sections of the Great Wall.
Hohhot Kekao Mining Co. is suspected of destroying approximately 100 m of the wall while on a prospecting mission in Inner Mongolia to the northwest of Beijing, said Wang Dafang, head of the regional cultural relics bureau.
