New push to fight terror
India and Russia have called for the consolidation of global action against terrorism, including the terror threat emanating from Afghanistan and Pakistan, Indian daily newspaper The Asian Age reported yesterday.
During their talks in the Indian capital on Monday, Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna and visiting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Sobyanin shared the view that drug trafficking is a major source of funds for terrorists and stressed the need to crack down on it.
