Truck tragedy claims 19

At least 19 people were confirmed dead after a truck ran into a roadside crowd Thursday evening in Luanxian county, in northern China's Hebei province, local police said on Friday. The accident happened at around 8:30 pm on Thursday in Zhaozhuangzi village of Yangliuzhuang town, when a truck ran into the rear of another vehicle and then slammed into pedestrians. A total of 32 people were hospitalized. The driver and the owner of the truck are in the custody of local police and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
